Finally the weather is starting to heat up – well at least here in Las Vegas! Before we all know it, it’ll be peak spring season where we all have to put away our chunky sweaters, tights, and start baring some skin. I definitely look forward to the warmer weather and especially all the new trends to come out each year. From the colors, prints, and cuts, this year’s trends have something for every woman out there.
To show off these new spring trends, I headed to one of my favorite spots on the Las Vegas Strip: Nordstrom located inside Fashion Show. They have an incredible ladies department showcasing the latest for the season and I honestly had the hardest time figuring out what I loved the most.
Feminine Cuts of Floral
Certainly for spring, floral prints are all the rage from bold and large prints to small and detailed. But I’d say the unique 2020 twist are the cuts available in shirts and dresses. This AFRM crop top has a feminine bardot cut to show off your décollete. It also has a cute cut out back with simple buttons. Paired with the Good American Good Legs Crop Jeans I felt ready to chase Lucky during the day and then transition to a spring date night with Zell.
Additionally I just loved this AFRM that was sweet yet sexy from the back. The silhouette is a true classic but probably my favorite part was this sexy high slit to show off my legs. You could transition this piece with some combat boots plus a leather jacket and easily wear sandals later for spring and summer.
I’ve personally been afraid to hop on the print mixing trend but since trying on this Topshop dress I’m definitely feeling it. This silky dress is super versatile, classy enough for work yet flashy enough for a date night. And the winged sleeves were a fun compliment to anyone needing some arm coverage before it warms up for summer.
New to Nordstrom is Naked Wardrobe, which I’m a huge fan of. The Fashion Show location actually has a hard time keeping the in-demand brand in stock but I was able to try on some amazing basic pieces including this crop top and high waist legging set. Not only did it support my booty but also concealed my mama pooch all while feeling like I didn’t need to suck it in. I can definitely see these Naked Wardrobe pieces being rocked year round as they are super basics and closet staples great for layering as I did with this reversible Alice + Oliva kimono.
You can see from the aforementioned pieces that crop tops are all the rage for spring fashion. But probably my favorite was this AFRM crop that somehow made even tie-dye look glamorous. The puff sleeves made the look even bolder. I tried this crop on with a pair of Good American Good Curves jeans that were high waisted, soft and could also be worn with other cute crop tops.
This is just a small selection of all the spring pieces I tried on while visiting Nordstrom at Fashion Show. You can see the rest of my favorite 2020 women’s fashion spring trends in the below IGTV video where I take you with me to the dressing room!
